How long do your candles burn?
Our 9 oz signature candles burn for 50 hours, the 8 oz for 45, and the 10 oz for 55. That's actual burn time, measured. To get the full hours, trim your wick to ¼ inch before every burn and let the wax pool reach the edge of the jar on the first burn (about 2½–3 hours).
Are your candles really phthalate-free?
Yes — we only use IFRA-certified, phthalate-free, paraben-free fragrance oils. We have the safety data sheets on file for every oil we use, and we're happy to share them on request.
Do you ship outside Texas?
Yes, we ship anywhere in the continental US via USPS Priority Mail. Standard shipping is $8.50 flat rate; free over $75. We don't ship internationally yet — sorry.
How fast do you ship?
Most orders go out within 3–5 business days. Custom orders take 3–4 weeks. If you need something faster, email us before ordering and we'll let you know what's possible.
What's your return policy?
If your candle arrives damaged, email us a photo within 7 days and we'll replace it for free. We don't accept returns on used candles for hygiene reasons, but we want every customer happy — if something is wrong, please tell us.
Are your candles safe around pets?
Yes. All our fragrances are pet-safe at typical burn distances. That said, never leave any open flame unattended around animals, and if your pet has respiratory sensitivity, soy candles are still the gentlest option but use in a well-ventilated room.
Can I bring an empty jar in for a refill?
Absolutely. We refill your clean Kashmira jar with any signature scent for $22 (vs $32–$36 for a new candle). Mail it in with a SASE or drop it off at the studio by appointment.
Do you do custom scents?
For private label orders of 100+ units, yes — we'll work with you on a signature scent over a 6–8 week development. For smaller orders we work from our existing 12-scent library.
How long is the wedding favor lead time?
We need 4–6 weeks for wedding favor orders. Tags with your custom names and date take an extra week. Order as early as you can — we only take a limited number of weddings per month so each one gets full attention.
Why is my candle not throwing scent strongly?
Three usual culprits: (1) the candle hasn't fully cured (give a fresh candle 14 days), (2) the room is too big for the candle size — a 9 oz candle scents about 200 sq ft well, or (3) you're noseblind, which is super common. Step outside for 10 minutes, come back, you'll smell it again.
Are your wicks made of cotton or wood?
Cotton. We use pre-tabbed, lead-free cotton wicks from a Wisconsin supplier. We've tested wood wicks extensively and prefer cotton for its consistency, especially in soy wax.
Do you offer gift wrapping?
Yes — kraft paper and natural cotton twine, free, on every order. If it's a gift, just leave a note in checkout (or in your inquiry email).
Can I visit the studio?
Yes! By appointment only — email or call us first. We love showing people the process. There's usually something on the cooling rack and we always have coffee or tea on.
Do you do candle-making classes?
We host one private class per month for groups of 4–6. $85 per person, includes two candles you take home. Email us to book.
How do I dispose of the empty jar?
Pop it in the freezer for an hour, then the leftover wax slides right out. Wash with warm soapy water. The amber jars are gorgeous as small vases or tea-light holders. Or send them back to us — we wash and reuse them.
