How to care for a soy candle (and double its life)
Three small habits — trim the wick, burn the full pool, store cool — that turn a 50-hour candle into a 70-hour one.

We've been popping up at the Cypress Top Historic Park market for almost three years. Here's what to expect — and when to come.
Second Saturday of every month, October through May, from 9am to 1pm. Cypress Top Historic Park, off Hempstead Highway. We're usually under the big pecan tree at the back of the field.
About 60 candles in mixed scents, all the current diffusers, room sprays, and a small basket of "seconds" — candles with cosmetic flaws (a crooked wick, a small surface bubble) that we sell for 30% off. Cash and Venmo only at the market.
Before 10:30am if you want first pick of the seasonal scents. The Pumpkin & Cardamom usually sells out by 11am in October. After noon if you want to chat — it gets quiet and we have time to walk you through the whole shop.
Yellow Door Bakery (the kouign-amann is genuinely transcendent), Bee Wild honey from Brenham, and the lavender stand from Chappell Hill in spring. Make a morning of it.
Email us before market day and we'll set anything aside for you to pick up. Or order online — we ship Tuesdays and Fridays.
